Christmas Decorations
Since the girlfriend put up Christmas lights on the mantle, I decided to post a pic.
From the top, Garand, 1903, 1863, 1795
On the mantle, 1836 pistol, 1842 pistol, and a couple of other oldies.

Who here lives in a town that actually puts up Merry Christmas decorations? 0 -
Brian apparently does not have the Christmas Spirit.
I almost want to call the SPCA, but the house would be lonely if they locked up the wife.0 -
A coworker of mine came in and said "I think I'm going to Hell."
She then related this story. She took her kids for a walk around a block near my house that is famous for elaborate Christmas decorations. People often leave the decorations for the new owners when they sell their house. Most of the houses are decorated to some sort of movie theme like. There are house decorated with Snoopy, Lightning McQueen, Winnie the Pooh, even the Beatles complete with a yellow submarine.
They then walked past a house with a Nativity set depicting the birth of Jesus in a manger. Her young son turned to her and said "I don't know what movie that one is from." She said that she fell like the worst parent ever.0 -
Mrs. Likemhot has been after me to put up the Christmas decorations, so I spent the better part of the morning and part of the afternoon putting up the out door lights, I just came in and cracked a cold one, figuring all is well.
Now she won't talk to me!

My town used to but they too have fallen to the political correctness of the world and now only put up generic holiday decorations like snowflakes... very very sad...[V] 0 -
It seems to me that people and towns, tv stations just fall in line with this happy holiday crap, its Christmas!!!!!!!! What does it take to stick to your guns and say "MERRY CHRISTMAS" THERE I SAID IT, COME AND GET ME IF YOU GOT A PROBLEM. 0 -
Most towns here in Modwest Ohio still do Christmas in a big way with a parade to Honor Santa and plays to remember the real meaning of the day!!! Heck, last year the Three Kings even had real Camels. 0 -

It's nice to know that some of ya'll live in or near towns that display Christmas decorations. Hopefully, "Merry Christmas" greetings meet everyone coming and going through your communities. I really enjoy traveling through parts of rural America during this season and viewing the Christmas decorations in the smaller towns and cities. 0 -
Not as much as they should. 0 -
Old Town Albuquerque is famous for its Luminaria tour.
