Getting to Meet Fred
Fred Thompson is supposed to be at the Pensacola gunshow on the 17th and 18th. Looking forward to talking to him. Guess I'll leave my Walther in the car this time since the Secret Service will probably be there too. I know he's probably one of the few, or only, candidate who would appear at a gunshow.

I attended a reception/fundraiser/barbeque for Pat Robertson when he made his run at the Presidency. Secret Service and local law enforcement were there in force, and there was a walk-through metal detector. I entered with my pistol after showing ID.

He has disappointed me too where the globalist bit is concerned. However, even you must praise the way he has distanced himself from the globalists with his stance on ridding this nation of illegal immigrants! He is the only front runner who has sided with the typical American citizen who wants these people out of this country via attritonal means. Now, all Fred needs to do is hammer the Texas Governor and the president for allowing the Mexican military to invade our country with humvees and machine guns!!! Unfortunately, Fred seems dedicated to doing away with our borders in favor of the North American Union Country instead of the United States as we know it to be. For example a lady in Iowa, just today, voiced her concern to him about "globalization" and he told her, "Ma'am, you're probably not going to agree with my opinion on this, but overall, everybody's going to get a better education, with better jobs, in the long run than we would without trade." To me this statement translates to the United States drying up and dying since we currently have borders and our sovereignty is intact! It tells me that we must do away with our way of life in order to continue trade with other nations! That other countries will not trade with us if we do not form the NAU!
To me the lady and everyone else in America cannot survive with any degree of prosperity unless we share our idenity with Mexico and Canada in a new and improved country, ran by a new and improved system of government designed specifically to create a multicultural society, instead of retaining our American identity as we know it today. I, for one, do not want to change our American way of life to satisfy the movers and the shakers who developed the minds of too many of our "ultra or mega rich" politicians.0 -
You will have to give him credit for having a mind of his own and doing things his way. I appreciate the fact that he is a man who respects the constitution as it stands and does not view it as a fluid document to change on a whim. Few others share his opinion. 0 -

I like Fred very much, but he sure does not talk like the people I know who have a lick of common sense where our way of life is concerned. He seems to want to create a new and improved society that requires the assimilation of three different nations/cultures. I don't like that in the least, because I think we Americans can and will survive without the NAU.0 -

You description is certainly the agenda of the other side of the aisle! The one who promotes multiculturalism and encourages amnesty.0 -
You are absolutely correct sig232. As you know we have two parties that have some big differences, but both have failed, miserably, during my lifetime, (60+ years), toward building a bright future for our children for generations to come.
Both parties are committed to opening the borders, modifying the government, and building a nation that will have less prosperity for the masses, and in the long run the process would need to repeat itself with more expansion. This type governance, to me, requires expanding borders until there are no longer any weak and poor nations to conquer, through war or crooked politics. The only way Americans can break this stranglehold is to formulate a new party and do things much differently.
I would hope that if the democrats come to office that American citizens would become so angered at our politicians, that any movement we have momentum toward today might catch hold and become viable in 2012 or 2016 - perhaps this is nothing more than wishful thinking as we surely appear to be too far gone to survive the D&R Party's way of life.0
