-Disbelieve anything you want to. Sounds to me like your disbelief is grounded in yours and your buddies' cynical attitudes. You can't do it, so it can't be done! Crap! Be real!

Hathcock never said that he set out to specifically perform this feat, although I personally would not call it a "feat" for someone with his skills. He was trying to kill someone that was a microsecond away from killing him. The bullet through the scope was considered by Hathcock to be a coincidence, because Hathcock says he aimed at a glint of light. Well gee, where did that come from, off the NVA's pearly whites??? Hathcock simply hit what he aimed at....the glint of light! What is so tough about hitting what you aim at? Do you have trouble doing that[?] Golll-eeee, Seargent Scheisskopf, did you actually hit the target this time??!

If the gunny said he did it, that's good enough for me. Also in regards to how myth busters eventually proved that it was possible by using AP ammo. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the AP round was the standard for the scout snipers in vietnam...

tcDA: i'm fed up with your wining about Gunny Hathcock. weather he put the round through the scope or not you will never know and as what's been asked were you were during the viet nam war, you haven't earned the right to question the dirt on the Gunnys boots. much less a shot taken almost 40 years ago.
