I agree 100%, but I have to wonder just how long we can/will accept this terrible "representation"? [xx(]

    Congress needs an enema.

makes me want to ask Where's the beef?

Pelosi, Reid,Durbin, O'bama, and Mrs. Hillary Clinton haven't done squat. No discussion on an energy policy, social security, or health care. We have a failure to recognize an improvement in Iraq. We have contempt for the military leadership because of their successes.

Why should we give the democrats the White House? They haven't done anything with the House and Senate.

I really wish we could rewrite the rules about bills within Congress.

The ONLY thing that should be in a bill is the language and request that the bill is based upon. For example, if they are pushing a bill to improve public schools, then it should only have language and requests/requirements that deal with improving public schools via whatever the plan is (improved funding, new curriculum)...PERIOD. There shouldnt be any way to tack riders on to a bill to do other things...like take away parts of the 2nd Amendment...or to fund some pork barrel project in their district.

We know this crap happens all the time. If they believe that project in their district is so vital, then sponsor a bill requesting federal funding for it and fight for it on the floor. Dont tack it on to a bill that you know will get passed because it is supported bipartisanly.

Riders to bills force some congressional reps who want to do the right thing to either vote against the bill (at which point they are labeled as uncaring) or to support it (and get labeled as too loose with funds or anti whatever). Kind of a no win for all of us.

The people we have elected to office have established their own brand of legalized bribes.
