You need to show a close up picture of the Waffenamt as the HJ and Wehrmacht used KKW's and DSM's for training, not the model you have. Your Waffenamt should be E163, or prehaps an earlier Weimar mark.

    Waiting for more pictures, LF.
Don't think I'll bid on the rifle, but am curious about the stamping.

    Thanks---Peabo

Interesting it is listed in "Modern Bolt Action Rifles" seems, purely IMO, this should be in Relics and in the title the terms "German" and "K98" would attract those of us who look at this stuff.
Most of us use certain searches and not even Mauser would be strong enough to attract enough attention for this type.
Most of us would expect many more pictures showing anything mentioned.
Trust me I am trying to sell you a gun on the internet does not equal a picture for believing and there is no fee/charge to put up a bunch of J-pegs on GB.

has it got the ambidextros bolt, as the 'origonals' the bolt handle can be switched on either side, & the wood adjusted...super accurate when good......[^] $200 worth !

Is photobucket running super dooooper slow for anyone else? I have had to charge my camera between the slow uploading of these pics!!!! I have tons of pics, just can't get it loaded on the auction without it taking an HOUR. I thought it would be better tonite. This morning was slow....and its no better tonite.

Thanks for the hints on the listings. I will change a couple things while there are no bids.

LF...givette here. Can you describe that round cartouche on the right stock? The circle about the size of a .50cent piece? Thanks, Joe

The Germans did not stamp into the serial number as in one photo. There is no local unit markings either. The eagle is too big and doesn't look right. I think it's a fake, someone has taken a commercial export model and dolled it up with available reproduction stamps.
    Sorry.

There are a couple guys that collect these types of things who have come in the store to look it over for me. They seem to be pretty confidant that it is not a fake, since I am no expert I didn't list it until I had at least one of them look at it for me. My father has a book of markings and stamps.....it has a picture of so many stamps and it looks like this bird is one of the ones listed. I had to give the book back.....I really need one of those books for myself. I'm no expert, but I checked on it as much as I could before listing it.

That was my thought as well. Did the Germans mark their non-export rifles in English, as in .22 Long Rifle ?
