Love vs. Lust?
When the world fails who will still be at your side? That is who loves you, your family and true friends. Everyone else will fall away. So when you look to your side who can you see? Love, not lust, is an undying connection between people. In the modern world most have lost that connection and do not live for love, but lust instead. Greed, jealousy, and hate are all breed from lust. So when the connection breaks between two people they never had love, because they only had lust in its place hiding behind a veil of lies. The world is failing because it is breeding lust for money, power, and sex. Love is all there is to hold on to. for when all else has failed love is still the strongest bond humans can make. A friend that you trust, you would not just die for, but kill for, a friend who would do the same for you. That is love. When your friends become distant you bring them close, when the road is dark love throws a spark to light the way. Love is undying because love is the answer to why humans ask what is the meaning of life? LOVE IS THE ANSWER!!!!"-

i have to disagree with that one
why?
Greed: is lust for materail possesions, money, and power
Jealousy: wanting what you do not have(greed)
Hate: extreme of everyting0 -
Define "never having love"...
What if one parter was completely faithful, and the other was a schmuck...0 -
then with your logic there would only be one deadly sin instead of seven, because it would all come back to a form of lust but there is one problem
quote:Lust (Latin, luxuria)
Main articles: Lust (fornication, rape, perversion)
Lust is usually thought of as involving obsessive or excessive thoughts or desires of a sexual nature. Unfulfilled lusts sometimes lead to sexual or sociological compulsions and/or transgressions including (but obviously not limited to) sexual addiction, adultery, bestiality, and rape. Dante's criterion was "excessive love of others," which therefore rendered love and devotion to God as secondary. However, lust and love are two different things; while a genuine, selfless love can represent the highest degree of development and feeling of community with others in a human relationship, Lust can be described as the excessive desire for sexual release. The other person can be therefore seen as a "means to an end" for the fulfillment of the subject's desires, and becomes thus objectified in the process. In Purgatorio, the penitent walks within flames to purge himself of lustful/sexual thoughts.
and you can love someone for years, and still break your connection for many reasons, it does not mean your love never meant anything but lust0 -

In your example, one partner was in love...the other was a schmuck.
Both partners have to be in love...if not, "they never had love".

jealousy is insecurity nothing more or less. It is certainly not a measure of love.
There may indeed only be one sin, there is certainly only one commandment: Thou shalt not steal.0 -
Do people really "Fall in love" or is it Lust first and then either they grow in love or grow apart.
There has to be an attraction(measure of lust) before two people can love. This is about sexual partner type love and not the love of freinds and family because lust should not be included in the love of friends and family.0 -

There is nothing wrong with lust. It's a necessary (and pretty darn cool) part of the human sexual experience. It's knowing your limitations and having the ability to control it where the problems arise, whether it's money, posessions, sexually, addiction, etc...
In my experience, trying to have a relationship with the absence of one or the other is futile. The partners will inevitably end up looking to fill their unsatisfied need somewhere else.0 -

unless i was a eunuch it would totally suck to be in a relationship where there was no physical attraction/lust, hell if that where the case i would be living with my mother, i under no circumstances beleive in love at first sight without lust being involved in someway0 -
