Once again, the time has never been more ripe than right now to get a third party off the deck and running. If we can get someone like Tancredo to break with the republicans, another viable party can become a reality within the next few years.

Because they don't give a rats butt, what we as citizens think or want! They are replacing us as voters, with a new base that will keep them in power forever!

I beg to differ...it is just what we want. Damn near everyone of these politicians have been in office long enough to fossilize. And most will be re-elected next term.....
For a freaking year now I've listened to a dozen Bozos ranting about Ohio's smoking ban...on day one my question was "did you vote...did you get out there and talk to all the other smokers about voting"... I have yet to find one that even voted... I don't smoke and I voted in their favor...could have used a little help people...

It is time to clean house....vote the same old faces back into office and NOTHING is going to change.... and it still ain't too late. It will be though and PDQ.

Vote them all out and the choices you will be given to replace them will say things you want to hear then do as they're told by the true powers in America. Same as the bunch we have now.

Lets hear from the rabid Democratic sheeple that constantly bash the Republicans, and the rabid Republican sheeple that constantly bash the Democrats on this legalizing of millions of unwanted alien criminals. You've/we've all been had!

How can any American trust or believe anything any of them say?
The people who need the house to fall down on them to realize the facts of our Government have just had exactly that happen. Will they see the light? This has nothing to do with the illegals voting power, it's a bi-partisan agreement, therefor BOTH parties share equally here, thus if that theory is correct the votes the illegals make should be split between the two parties, making this a moot point.
Government for the people, and by the people. HAH!
    "War on Terrorism". HAH!

"There's not a dimes worth of difference between 'em" - George Wallace

"What this country needs is a two party system" - Patrick Buchanan

They've gotten it out of the way so it can't be an issue in the Presidential election.

It doesn't sound too bad really, it does not make them all instant legal citizens:
    From Foxnews:
The plan would allow illegal immigrants to come forward and obtain a "Z visa" and - after paying fees and a $5,000 fine - ultimately get on track for permanent residency, which could take between eight and 13 years. Heads of household would have to return to their home countries first.

Heads of household could come forward right away to claim a probationary card that would let them live and work legally in the U.S., but could not begin the path to permanent residency or citizenship until border security improvements and the high-tech worker identification program were completed.

Workers would have to return home after job stints of two years, with little opportunity to gain permanent legal status or ever become U.S. citizens. They could renew their guest worker visas twice, but would be required to leave for a year in between each time.

Democrats had pressed instead for guest workers to be permitted to stay and work indefinitely in the U.S.

In perhaps the most hotly debated turn, the proposed plan would shift from an immigration system primarily weighted toward family ties toward a "point system" that prioritizes preferences for people with advanced degrees and sophisticated skills. Republicans have long sought such revisions, which they say are needed to end "chain migration" that harms the economy, while some Democrats and liberal groups say it's an unfair system that rips families apart.

Family connections alone would no longer be enough to qualify for a green card - except for spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens. New limits would apply to U.S. citizens seeking to bring foreign-born parents into the country.

what is the incentive for an illegal alien to comply with this new law ? is it an incentive to now have to pay taxes ? is it an incentive to now have to leave america and your job and your family for a possible chance to re-enter america ? is it an incentive to pay $5,000 for something that they have been getting for free their entire lives ?
where in this bill does it state what penalties illegals would get for not complying ? is there anything in this bill that says an illegal alien will get deported for not complying ?

  • Marc1301
Nope,........haven't heard anything about penalties, if they don't comply! The morons in this country will lie down for this, as if nothing happened,........but it is the beginning, of the end to our life as we knew it.

I think babies born on American soil should have at least one parent who is a Citizen in order to be a Citizen..

    Otherwise, no Citizenship.

I also like the model for Citizenship that was shown in "Starship Troopers".

Rep. Royce (R) California, believes that it is nothing more than a sell-out. Another lady mentioned that the aliens will now be allowed to open a bank account so as to borrow the $5,000.00 needed to pay the fine. The only person of each family that would have to go back across the border and apply for entrance would be the head of the household.

This will go on the Senate floor next week, what will appear to be a strong debate will take place, minor (prearranged) changes appearing to be caused by the debate will be made, and this will be new Law.

Supporters of the arrangement urged their congressional colleagues and the American public to support the bill as a whole even though strong objection may be felt toward its individual parts

This is the kind of crap that really pisses me off. Our elected officials ARE NOT doing the things that "We, the people" want them to do. Correct me if I'm wrong but, aren't they supposed to represent us instead of doing what is good for them and forcing it down our throats?

Get on your phone and call your senators, let them know they can suck a wet dogs butt and we vote. Socialism here we come, divide the wealth and the illegals will get all.

Remember, Reagan granted flat amnesty and the Republicans WERE in power from '94 until the last election. And they did nothing to stop illegal immigration all those years. Why are you all screaming now to call the House and Senate?

I am beginning to believe you have the right man. He had the courage to call them out in the fox debate and says it like it is. No PC crap.

The illegal aliens will not be required to leave America. Only if they plan to apply for a green card at some time in the future will they be required to leave our country. It keeps getting worse. Dig this: "If" they have a criminal record (which all of them have to begin with), they will have to leave America. Yeah...right.

I agree with you on Tancredo, I think he is the only hope to actually close the borders and stop illegal immigration.
