Those seeking to add to their balck rifle collections.....steer clear of Model 1 Sales. Yes they offer a reasonably good product at a 'cheap' price. However, these come at a cost above and beyond the sticker price. Customer service sucks. I understand that they are busy, but so is everyone else in the country with a popular item. If a company wants to have and maintain a good reputation then they would ensure customer service is at the top of their business plan. My advice.....Steer clear of Model 1......unless you just love headaches and no answers to your questions.

at WW. Last few weeks WW normally had one, sometimes two, AR's on display. Prices higher than GB. Went by today for the first time in about a month. 6 black rifles, a Windham, Diamond, Sig, and colts. Lowest price was $897 on the Diamond. $1497 on a Colt SOCOM.

Starting to look good as more rifles and ammo showing up with few, if any, buyers.

Think DPMS. Very good rifles, and quite affordable.

    All black rifles are evil.

They cause so much crime and suffering on our streets.

Once in your hands, the seduction begins and soon you will be spraying bullets in the hood.

Seriously, go for it and get one before the new ban comes. Good luck.

Go with your thoughts and get the Bushmaster. The fit and finish is unmatched. They have some of the tightest tolerances on the market. They are in my opinion the best AR on the market at this time hands down.

Go high end and get a RRA ATR-1. FAL design, uses a lot of FAL parts, takes AR mags.

Don't forget, if you take them hunting, you will lose control and spray the woods also.[:0][:0]

Yes, buy one this year if possible. I think this Congress will slow our ability to buy this type of firearm as soon as they acquire the White House in 08.[:(]

I have built, shot and sold a ton of AR type rifles. I suggest the DPMS, RRA, Colt & Bushmaster in that order. They are a ton of fun and can be more accurate than most people would believe.

You can get a Barrett AR chambered in 6.8mm. Better round than a 5.56mm.

I have built rifles using Bushmaster and Fulton Armory receivers. I prefer the Bushmaster receiver.

I have Colt and Bushmaster factory rifles, either one is great, have never had a prob with either brand

    I got three colt ar's. A .223 H-bar, a 7.62 X 39 Sporter and a 9mm carbine. I love them all, but I bought the Colt. DPMS and Bushmaster were choices 2 and 3. Just preference.

Actually, I call my Olympic AR my spray gun. Of course the local coyotes would call it something else if they could talk. I just can't understand how anyone can give feelings (evil) or actions (dangerous) to inanimate objects (firearms).
