It is good,...........and that is from a person that voted for him twice.
Where he lost it with me, is on two issues.
He has let Iraq turn into another PC Vietnam,........and the crazed compulsion he seems to have with the illegal alien issue.
He has seen over and over, that the majority of conservatives, are angered by all of this. He had glee in his speech, when the Dems took over the House, and Senate, when it came to being able to get his wish for that passed finally.
And the killer for me,.........was the short "speech" that he gave, criticizing his base for not going along with his "plan". That was a very big mistake.
I have always liked Bush,.........think he is basically an honest guy, but some of the latest things he has done, make me wonder.
If I were him,.........with all of the garbage that has fallen into his lap, I would already be back in Crawford, but he took the job,.........he needs to finish it, and finish it right.
You don't tick off your base, and not expect to destroy your own party. That is where he went wrong, IMHO!

Had President Bush spent even 10% of his time trying to uphold his pledge to defend the Constitution rather than trying find ways around it, the speech may have meaning.

Had President Bush spent even 10% of his time trying to keep budget under control rather than attempting to buy every vote that was for sale, the speech may have meaning.

Had President Bush spent even 10% of his time actually pursuing those that hit us before being distracted by the shiny target of Iraq, the speech may have meaning.

Had President Bush actually offered up anything unique in the way of leadership, the speech may have meaning.

Had President Bush spent even 1% of his time trying to learn the English language, he just may have been able to make the speech.

President Bush, however, conspired with Ted Kennedy over education, conspired with Ted Kennedy over prescription drug coverage, and conspired with Ted Kennedy over immigration reform. The half of Americans that he doesn't know anymore are the half, conservative or liberal, that actually believe in Constitution and the citizenry of this country.

very true. bush has been attacked in the worst way possible since day one of his presidency but it was his loyal base that stood by and elected him again. how does he honor that loyality ? he sells out his entire country and his base with illegal alien amnesty and he shows NO spine in iraq and wont do whats necesarry to win that war and in the process gets too many american soldiers killed.
screw bush !! i am through with him. i cant wait for a new president and i just hope to God that his amnesty plan doesnt go through. otherwise, we might have to fix it with bullets.
