Way to go Roy, put the young punk in the hospital. If he had been in California he would be sued and jailed now for hurting that enterprising young man.

A Fort Worth homeowner unexpectedly came upon a thief half his age.
Roy Smith had just left his home to buy a loaf of bread.
When Smith returned, he caught 25-year-old Christopher Hernandez loading tools into the back of a car.
"I said, 'You got all my tools in the back of your car.' He was like, 'Yea, get the heck out of my way. I'm fixin' to go.' [That's] the expression he had. But I wasn't going to go for that," he said.
At 57, Smith does not show his age or his strength. He said he still wrestles with his sons.
The usually mild mannered mechanic wrestled Hernandez to the ground. Smith then grabbed a pry bar and hit the thief over the head with it twice.
"He acted like that didn't even faze him," said Smith.
Over the last 15 years, Smith has built up his garage. But Smith says he was protecting more than just his property.
"He didn't care about me or my merchandise. He could've killed me," he said.
About the items the thief tried to take, Smith said, "He would've got $5 for this little small socket set. It's not worth it!"
Police were able to capture Hernandez, but he's not spending the night in jail. As of Wednesday night, officials say he is still at John Peter Smith hospital.

Probally not that many considering where this crime took place. Texas actually beleives halfway in allowing its citizens to defend their property.0 -
