H&K P2000 or Sig 226 in .40
I'm looking to buy one of these guns for a sidearm (or frontarm as it were) when I run the trails near my house. I'd like to carry it in a chest mount holster system. Any thoughts?

I like my sig better than the usp compact I had (my closest exp) 0 -
for use against what possible adversaries? animals or humans? If humans, you'd be well served by either specimen. For animals, I'd recommend a revolver in at least .357 mag or even .41 mag. Come to think of it, a revolver in either chambering would be perfectly adequate against humans as well. 0 -

Either one of them is too heavy for a chest mounted holster system while running. You need something like an airweight revolver. I run most days and the weight of a fullsize semi like you are talking about just bounces around too much. Been there. Now I carry a Bersa 380 Concealed Carry.0 -

Sig....hands down.
That HK is fugly.
The only HK's I like are the USP's.0 -

Wilderness holster on their waist belt that also carries two water bottles.0 -
P226, unless you have $$$$, I have shot the P226 in competition and love it. If you can afford it go for the USP9c or .40c.... Much nicer to carry.
