The kids & grandkids insist on the traditional food every year (the great grandchildren have graduated to real food too):

    -Baked turkey
    -Stuffing (plain & with oysters)
    -Giblet gravy
    -Green bean casserole
    -Sweet potato casserole
    -Cranberry sauce
    -Rolls
    -Pecan and/or apple pie
    -Etc.

Thanksgiving at Dad's house, where my brother (who went to college for culunary arts) has been living since his separation from his wife. He will fix the turkey, potatos, and gravy. He loves to cook (and clean up![;)]) so I let him.
Sister from Rochester is coming in with her hubby, she is fixing squash and the tossed salad.
Wednesday before Turkey Day is "Pie Day," and I will spend half the day baking apple pies and a traditional pumpkin pie, plus a new tradition, a pumpkin cake I started making about 10 years ago, which my Dad adores.
    Mmmm...house smells so good.....

Day after Thanksgiving is "Beer Day"....

I'd suggest frying your turkey for 3min/lb at 350. Then loosely cover with alum foil for 20-25 minutes. It will continue cooking while cooling. That way the legs and wings are more edible...........Enjoy!!
