PIERCE COUNTY -- Residents in a rural neighborhood near Buckley are concerned about children's safety after renegade pit bulls attacked a flock of sheep at the Green Meadows Farm in broad daylight.
Farmers and neighbors discovered the sheep hiding in the grass and blackberry bushes on Wednesday. The sheep were covered in blood with their throats mangled, legs gnawed on and broken and their faces cut up.
One sheep was killed and seven others were so badly injured that they will have to be put down. The sheep were so frightened by the attack that they haven't come out from under the barn since.
"One of the other persons that lives here on the farm with us, he came out early in the morning and saw the sheep being attacked by the dogs," said Robert Carsey, who lives at the farm. "And when he tried to get the dogs away, the dogs turned on him, so they literally scared him away; they had turned on him."
Neighbors fear the dogs struck a second time on Thursday afternoon, when they found a fawn torn to pieces.
Animal Control officers are investigating and locals are hanging fliers, warning parents and pet owners about the dogs that are still on the loose.

shoot those bleeners, I had one attack me and my dogs when we were at our ranch, popped him in the head and dropped him in a hole. mangy meanies. would a killed anything around if I didnt shoot it. People drop poop off like that out by the highway, really bad when the strays pac up. 0 -
