Cheap Trick

Cheap Trick is one of my all time top three favorite bands, and I have yet to see them live.

Well, I guess any Rock show has some merit. I saw Cheap Trick back in their 1970's hey-day. Even caught one of the guitar picks that the guitarist constantly threw out. (A rug rat ATE IT some years later).
My opinion of them is mixed. INCREDABLY talented lead guitarist. Such a shame all they played was bubble-gum "Mama's allright" music.
But hey, have fun. It beats seeing Duran-Duran or The Police.0 -

I live near Rockford, IL which is where Cheap Trick is actually from.
Rick Nielsen still lives in Rockford and is seen around town from time to time.
My sons both went to a private school and our school played basketball against the private school that Rick's child attended.
One night I was walking into our gym and came face to face with him.
Nice guy, talked for a few minutes.
Cheap Trip is one of my favorite bands also. Hope you see a great show.0 -

few pieces of useless knowledge about them, rick is the brains of the band, they got their start during gigs at small local bars, he bought a limo for them to ride in as a gimmick hoping people will flock to see what famous band was playing, it payed off, they acquired a very large following which led to their big break 0 -
One of our members here is good friends with them from way back when and has played onstage with them alot, use to post pics of them from time to time. 0
