Yup. Strangely, my Dad was a BIG fan of it, even though he grew up in Iowa during the Depression...

I use a pint of 'em, with a little of the juice mixed into home made chicken broth... makes even packaged stuffing mix taste great.

I wish. We are going to the Outlaws tomorrow. They-he are picky eaters. My dad loved it and so do I.

Yes we are! If you don't like oyster dressing and live on the Chesapeake Bay like we do, you will be asked to move! Ha,ha.

Smoked Oysters this PM - sadly, the womenfolk round this estate don't cotton to "weird stuff" like that.

Got sick from it once so I skip it. I eat the old stand by bread stuffing now-a-days.

...Sorry, but I try to keep salty snot out of my food.

    breakfast sausage (sage)
    bread cubes
    onion
    celery
    sage
    chicken broth
    more sage

....And yes, I have eaten oysters on the half shell, but there was tequila involved.

Mom usually makes 3 dressings; one oyster, one pork sausage, and a third full of whatever fowl and small game meat was left over in the freezer.

Nope, thank goodness. Just traditional southern cornbread dressing!

Unfortunately, no. The grandmother who made it is gone, none that side of the family gets together for Thanksgiving, and the other side of the family hates seafood! I really miss it though. I'll be happy to take your leftovers.

Hey! There are folks who will eat okra and mix whiskey with 7-Up, so oyster flavored turkey is no surprise.
