Well, at least he didn't know whether it was opera or ballet. [:D]0 -
As much as I enjoy live theater I don't think that I could sit through a ballet. [xx(]
Unless it was to take my wife and her mother. [:D]0 -

You sit for so long at that performance that I regard it as aptly named. Joe 0 -
It is an absolutely charming ballet. It was written for all 8 year ilds, including me. If you are ever in New York city during the Holiday Season, I highly recommend the production by the New York City Ballet; it is really spectacular. 0 -
I saw Barishnakov (not the gay one) dance the Nut Cracker at the Kennedy Center some years ago. That guy could jump nearly 4 feet off the stage for spins. It is indeed a charming story. Think Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies from Fantasia. 0 -
You said "Nutcracker!" HE HE!
Actually, I have seen it, under the same circumstances as you. Wife and MIL. Wasn't bad. Cute girls. At least I think they were girls. Maybe they were guys in drag. I don't remember. Slept through a lot of it. [:o)]0 -
My wife and daughter love the televised version. 0
