    Hey- would that 10/22 pistol need to be registered with the ATF for $200? Would it be considered a short-barreled rifle or any other weapon AOW?quote:Originally posted by Nwcid
    I dont have any good group photos of my pistols so here is some singles.

    No it is a pistol just like any other pistol. Why do you think my 10/22 needs to be registered and my AR pistol does not? Why didn't you ask the same thing about Kimberkid's AK or HK pistols? Then if either of these pistols need to be on the NFA list why don't all pistols need to be on the list? I am not trying to give you a hard time but trying to make you think.

    If it was a SBR it would require a $200 stamp and if it was AOW (by adding a front pistol grip would be the only way I can think of) it would be a $5 stamp. The suppressor IS a NFA item and it is on a Form 4, but it has nothing to do with the pistol.

    Those are not pistols, they are Short Barreled rifles. NFA land.

    OldFool.jpg

    No, they are pistols, not SBS. I know I have legal guns and did not pay NFA tax. I am sure Kimberkid's are legal and pretty sure he did not pay NFA taxes either as they are PISTOLS. If my guns are SBR's then so are ALL pistols

    Here is the definition of SBR:

    (3) a rifle having a barrel or barrels of less than 16 inches in length; (4) a weapon made from a rifle if such weapon as modified has an overall length of less than 26 inches or a barrel or barrels of less than 16 inches in length;

    I added the highlighting.

    What? No VP70z? You know that IS the sidearm of the Colonial Marines! It is a great gun to have in your collection and would go nicely with the modern HKs.

    ...Warms the heart to see so many nice shootin' irons, most excellent!

    ...I got me a new one! Met this guy down on deuce alley (2nd Avenue), boy, had never seen a mobile gun store before! He had more guns in his trunk than you could shake a stick at!...said his his new shop wasn't quite finished yet. Anyway, he drove a hard bargain but I think I got the best of him (he he)...what a sucker!

    Here's Maurice, the mobile gun store owner, sells a little jewelry on the side too I think.
    grillz.jpg

    ...He he, it's so funny...I traded this sucker a bunch of old Colts (and a little money to boot, not too much) for this genuine Jimenez, what a gun!...I bet 'ol Maurice is still cryin' over this trade!!!...[^]

    I also have (not proud, but it shoots) a Phoenix Arms PT22. It's actually a fun little gun to shoot. Owned a couple others and sold a couple. Wish I had the Buckmark Target back.
