Whoever thought we would be happy paying under $3.00 for a gallon of gas. They have us right where they want us, happy at $2.89. Time for a revolution![}:)] 0 -
Where does one sign up for this revolution? 0 -

Has anyone besides me noticed (and I'm not sure if all of your area newscasts do this), but it seems like everyday, there is a story about how "prices have decreased this week" and "we are only paying $3.19/gallon," as though we should be greatful?
Who the heck do they think they are talking to?
As though I can't remember last year when I could fill my tank for $20, and now it barely touches the "half a tank" mark?0 -
I was thinking yesterday about how I heard that there has not been any new American Oil Refineries built in years.
Ok so there is no new refinery to pay for, it costs the same amount to pump it out of the ground, so why did gasoline increase in price by 200%? It costs the same amount to get gasoline pumped, refined and to the station as it did 10 years ago when we were all paying around 1.00 per gallon. Nothing has changed.0 -
Oh... and I too felt fortunate to have paid 2.90 per gallon on my last fillup[8D] 0 -

Oh, but the facilities are outdated, and cannot keep up with current demand....[}:)]0 -

And the Gasoline company owners/sellers/stockholders spending and credit debts can't keep up with their current spending so we the consumers are paying for their Royal Lifestyle.0 -
Sounds like somebody should get fired.....

And all of your houses are worth the same amount they were ten years ago also, right?
I'm sure you will be willing to sell them to me for the value they carried back in 1997.
I'll buy them all at the prices from that time.

$2.69 in Spartanbutg Wednesday. $2.71 here, 40 miles away. SC 0 -
It's $2.89 in southern Minnesota this morning. Others have said it well: Shame on us for being happy to be paying "only" $2.89 or whatever for gas. I know, I know, it's our own fault for driving so much, China and India and Swaziland are all using oh so much more gas, we should all ride bikes or at least switch to E85 or wood chips or whatever. But don't give me that crapola when every quarter produces higher and higher record profits for the oil companies. Those obscene, multi-billion-dollar profits can only come from charging more than necessary for the product. Remember when, not too long ago, we all whined when gas went over $2 a gallon? Now we'd be waiting in long lines for that price. And that's just how the oil companies have been conditioning us to react.[xx(] 0 -
$3.05/gallon yesterday... and that's AFTER the 10-cent King Soopers discount. [:(!] 0
