$29.50 here. You might check over on the reloading forum we duscussed this in a couple of threads there. Pretty high prices everywhere. One guy did mention that he just bought some for $19.00 locally wherever he was. I can buy shells .05 cents a piece cheaper than I can reload them and I already have the hulls. 0 -

I have seen it 2 places local one for $22 the other for $25 both plus tax. I can still buy loaded ammo cheeper then that. I was thinking about picking some up though since it is not going to get any cheeper. Then I will load it when it is cheeper then buying ammo. I already have the press so I am not out the tools. 0 -

33.00 bucks here and if you are a member of the club 31.00 bucks, Local stores are at 39.00, Primers have jumped to 33.00 a thousand and wads are up to 12 bucks for 500.
I hope the littleton shot maker is good because a friend of mine an me just ordered one. with lead at 15 to 20 cents a pound and what wheel weights we can get from the 4 local tire shops should hold the cost of reloading shotshell down a bit. Otherwise it is just as cheap to go to wally world and buy them by the case.0 -
A couple of months ago I bought the last two pallets of 7.5 and #8 shot from the gun club. I paid $16.00 a twenty pound bag. Now locally it is $26.00. In another couple of months I will have done better in buying lead, than my investments have done (and that is say a lot).
So I am set for a couple of years on shot I have 1 ton of each size.0 -
The Littleton shotmaker does a good job, there is one, cant remember the name, that is suppose to be the Cad. BEFORE you can make shot, you have to process the lead into ingots with some sort of melter, that's another cost. The shotmaker has to have a stand, collection system, coolant, overflow, drain, etc. The shot must be washed, dried, sized, and bagged. 20% of your raw material is junk, clips, tire stems, cores, paper, dirt, etc so be sure to figure that in when doing your cost figures. You must wear protective gear and work in a well vented area. All in all, if you get your lead free or cheap, have everything set up, you can make shot cheap, mine figures to $2.00 a bag if I get my lead free. You might find someone with a setup and trade raw material for finished, especially if you are getting a deal on the lead. 0 -
