Went to gun show today
Went to the show in Rome, GA. It was slightly better than the ones in Dalton but still not very good. As usual most everything was overpriced and there was almost no milsurp stuff. My pal bought a Yugo sks and is in love with it. It's nice to see an old Marine with a rifle. Kinda like a kid at Christmas. I spent about $90 and don't have much to show for it. Just some ammo and a few odds and ends that I needed. Went looking for AR parts but they wanted more for an upper receiver than I can buy an entire kit for. I don't think I'll go to another unless I have money to buy a gun. Would have bought one today but I have a stripped lower that I need to get built and spending $90 on odds and ends really hurt the moneyshe fund to buy a kit with.

Not a big one by any measure.
Pretty much everything there was overpriced, but found an old Gun Digest annual (I collect them) got some cleaner, saw some cool stuff, talked to some cool people and got to drool over a Husqy Swede Mauser.
not bad.0 -
What do you need to go to gun shows for.[?]
Shouldn't you be helping people with thier "addictions"0 -
I went to the show today in Charleston, SC today. Same old guns for more than new. Did spend about $120 getting dies for my 45-70 and 357 contender with brass and heads. I say they were fairly priced. Not a bad couple hours.[:)]

SOME OF THE SHOWS NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE WILL HAVE SOME DEAL OR SOMETHING YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO HAVE. EARLY ENTRANTS GET THE FIRST CRACK AND OTHERS , ONLY HOURS BEHIND OPENING BELL GET TO LOOK AND LOOK AND LOOK.
THEY HAVE THEIR PLACE AND I DRAGGED OUT A FEW BARGINS AND HARD TO FIND ITEMS OUT OF THEM , BUT NOTHING LIKE BACK IN THE 80'S. DAYS LONG GONE.0 -
Haven't made any shows for a while. Gotta get back to going. I only live 50 miles from Knob Creek. I'll make it there again I hope. [:D] 0 -

If my problem gets any worse i will contact you.0 -
The best time to buy is on Sunday about 2 hours before closing. Most dealers are whining about how much money they spent for travel, lodging, food, table rent, etc., and nobody bought anything from their over-priced inventory. You can get some great deals when you wave some CASH under their noses. [:D] 0 -
it upsets me that you have to pay to spend money 0 -
I go because I am retired and have the time, I very seldom buy anything but may be a cup of coffee, and that's way over priced to.
I have been wanting to buy a Trap Shot Gun and have been watching the Auction here of G.B Talk about high priced.[:0] I can buy one at a gun show cheaper and I can see it before I buy.[:D]0 -
