AK47 ignites while shooting (video)

No, this is not me shooting, I found this on Break.com

Some moron fires an AK on full auto so much that the fore-end starts to burn. [:0] [:0] So much for getting any accuracy out of that gun now. [V] [:(!]

    He was probably going to change the barrel out anyway so He made a final show of it. I enjoyed watching him because now I don't have an urge to do that to my AKs

    So he replaces a barrel, maybe something else, if he can afford the weapons, he can afford to repair them. As for accuracy, from watching the impacts at the end, it was still plenty accurate for close combat, and he wasn't really aiming. I wouldn't want him shooting at me at 50 yards. Won't happen to an AR, the forend design, and materials would eliminate the possibility of a fire. Is that the wood burning, a lot of lubricant(oil), or maybe a combination of both?

    It's the wood burning. I recall complaints out of Vietnam on brass rivets in the handguard burning the hand.

    Post sample AK's sell for about $350.
    No loss, as it would have to be destroyed anyway.
    Might as well have fun while taking it out of service.
    Who knows, he maybe doing a LEO demo, showing & testing his product for LEO's.
    Its no loss & its proof that his prouct can standup to any rigors required by the LEO community.
