Where to buy US Flag?
I was in a flag store today and they wanted $120 for a nylon 6'x 10' flag. I just found a site (http://www.usflagstore.com/american_flags.html)that sells the same thing for $50. I am looking for something to hang on my wall in my apartment. Does anyone know of a good site or store to get US Flags without breaking the bank?

Yes. Write to your Member of Congress. They will sell you the flag at a discount, and you can even arrange the flag to be flown over The Capitol on a special date. It'll come with a certificate and will be something you can cherish for many years to come.

Absolutely true.
My German brother-in-law was fortunate to get one flown on the day when the Berlin Wall came down. He proudly hoisted it every year to commemorate the event (and when we visit). His neighbors think it is okay as well.0 -

When you buy one don`t forget to check the tag and see where it was made. Many of our U.S. flags are now made in China. 0 -
Incidentally, nearly every dry cleaner will clean the US flag at no charge. Every single one in my area does it for free. If they don't, tell them you will never do business with them. 0 -
American Legeon Posts sell them. I don't know the costs. 0 -

Dad buys his from Lowes. Best quality and price. He buys the flag for a small Lutheran church on in the country. He believes Lowes flags last the longest on the windy prairie of Freedom Township. 0 -
make sure you check the flag to ensure its a sewn one. good ones have seams and are stitched. many today are just spray painted on both sides of thin cheap material. 0 -
Wal Mart, believe it or not, has nice embroidered 3'x5' flags for about $20. I'm going to have to start my flag giveaways again... 0 -
Lowes and Home Depot. Not the best quality but more than sturdy enough for inside hanging. 0 -

No problem. When I was a congressional intern back in 1989, I used to process these requests (among other things).
Mine still hangs in my office, very proudly.0 -
Doesn't matter where you buy it. It will still have a tag on it which reads, "Made in China or Made in Mexico."[V] 0 -
