What advantage is an Ambi Safty on 1911?

I have a Stainless Wilson Ambi safety for a 1911 and everytime I think about installing it in a pistol I get confronted by a big question mark in my brain.
Can anyone tell me why I should install an extended ambidextrious safety on a 1911.

    So you can shoot weak handed and increase you proficiency level just in case Zombies or rag heads hit your good arm..

    I never considered the Zombie angle. I guess if the bite my right arm hard enough I could still be able to click my safety off with the left[8D]

    If you are right handed, none.

    If you are the type that puts crap on your weapon to look cool or just run with the rest of the herd, it's means you're accepted.

    I have always avoided them, because they make the weapon a little more difficult to conceal.

    Just can't do it on my own 1911.
