Cleaning A/C coils
Is 1400psi to much preasure to clean the coils on my A/C?
I borrowed my dad's preasure washer to do a few things and though I might do this too.

test a small area and see, 0 -
That sounds like it would tear the fins up quite a bit. There is a spray product for cleaning coils, just spray it on, wait, hose off with normal water hose. 0 -
Formula 409, let sit 5 minutes, rise with hose. Pressure washer likely to force water into electrical components (like the fan motor) Also works good on the A frame coil inside- spray, wait, use soft brush, rinse. 0 -
Got it did!
I used the preasure washer but I turned it down before I used it.
Looks much better. Hopefully it will also work better.[:D]0 -
Now that you have cleaned them,.......make sure when you cut the grass from now on, to pass real close with the mower discharge aimed at the coils.
The coating will protect the fins.0 -
The best way I have found to clean coils(and I have cleaned 100s at work)is a product called Ace Coil Cleaner but most coil cleaners work fine.Mix about 50-50 with water in a pump up sprayer, rinse the coils first with water and spray the coil cleaner mix starting at the bottom of the coil and work your way up.It should foam pretty good as it pushes the dirt and crud out of from between the fins.Rinse it well. The unit will work best if you clean evaparator(inside)and condenser(outside) coil. 0 -
How about indoor dehumidifiers? 0
