Range day tomorrow.
Father in law is feeling a little down and out. I've need to get to the range to sight a few things back in anyways. So we're heading up tomorrow. An hour drive which we both enjoy and you'll never have a bad time shooting. It'll help us both out, he doesn't own any guns anymore but loves them every bit as much as I do.
I pulled the collection out to organize the safe and wipe everything down again and to get some ready to take along.
Of course I had to take some pics.
Yes, this is the bedroom. Where all(some) of the magic happens.
For anyone who wants to know how many guns a kingsize bed will hold...

Not an extremely nice or expensive collection, but a humble one.
Left to right....
-Savage/Stevens 200 in 243, 6.5-20x50 on top - A real deal when it comes to cutting bullseyes.
-CVA Optima 50Cal ML - A blast to shoot, but until this year, I haven't had good luck with optics, hopefully this Nikon will measure up.
-Marlin 917VR, 3-12x50 IR on top - What a hoot, and accurate!
-Marlin Mod 60SS, nothing needs said
-JC Higgins 16ga Bolt action - Used to shoot trap with the thing, it just won't miss, given to me by my wife's grandfather, bought new for a rabbit gun
-Mossberg "88" - Now used for trap, nice gun, but I'm still learning how to hit clays
-Stevens 22/410 O/U Teninte - Given to me by my wife's other grandfather, bought new in 1945(?)
-Marlin 1894, brand new...See my "Announcement" thread!

I haven't really gotten any decent pics of the new 243 up yet either, so here are a couple...

Maybe a little overkill, but now I don't need a spotting scope.[:)]0 -

Once I get my 90days in a SW, I get awesome discounts on guns. My little account is building and ready to be spent. Just waiting to get my time in.
BTW that Browning Platinum safe is about $4k [B)]
Little outside my price range or need.
Found a 46gun Yukon Gold(made by Browning) for less than a grand. I'm not even going to tell you what my price would be <---[}:)]0 -
Always go with the biggest safe you can fit in the house. They fill themselves up [:D] 0 -
