You can look for an original one but you'll pay premo prices for it. I wanted to do the same thing you are talking about doing to my Sport-King. I ended up buying a Millet or LPA, can't remember, and doing a little filing to the blade to make it fit. The main problem you're gonna have (original or aftermarket) is the front sight is going to be too low (you can't adjust the sight down low enough). Maybe you can find one that will work without milling the frame (I didn't consider that an option for mine at least), but I know mine stayed on about a day before the original one went back on. Like Bobski would say, if you want a target gun, get the target model.[:D][;)] Good luck either way.[8D]

    the answer is simply no.
the slide dovetail for fixed sight guns is smaller than the target units. and, on that model gun, target units require access to pins and adjustments from UNDER the slide. it would be cheaper to sell the gun as parts and upgrade to a GE, 100, 101, or 102 series match gun with factory adjustable sights.
and too, you may not have taken into consideration the fact that even if you did change the rear sight, you would be messing with the sighting plane height in relation to the front blade. if you look at match guns, most have bull bbls. having a bull bbl, the OD raises the front blade height to match the reat sights peep notch. and, match blades are very high, to allow shooters to groomtheir needs by shaving it down to where it works perfectly. but, you have a tapered bbl. in order to get the front blade up to a height where you could adjust zero, would require extensive work. this is why hi std incorporated removeable front blades on its newer models.
bottom line, youre opening a bag of worms if you try...and most likely ruin a perfectly fine gun.

that gb was meant for field use. target guns are for targets.
when i dance i put on dancing shoes. when i mow the yard, i put on dirty shoes. get the shoe for the job and keep a closet full of what you need.
