AK-74 Range Review.

It's a Romanian WASR-2 5.45x39. So I took it out and it has a nice fit and finish, both mags fit really well no wobble. Chambered a round and it would not fully sit I had to push the rest in (about an 1/8 inch total) fired 2 rounds jam city, tried another magazine same results[:(!][:(!]. So I polish the chamber up a little, no go so it is going back to Century Arms for repair. But the customer service at Century arms were real nice.

    Anyone else have one, if so have you had any problems?

    Don't have a romanian. They are hit or miss, but as far as I understand a bit of filing solves all problems. IMO, I'd rather pay a tad more but buy a quality firearm.

    Not many guns out there in 5.45. Maybe I should build one.

    Yeah all I have to pay is the shipping to them, its still under warranty. From the few rounds I was able to send downrange I think I'm going to enjoy it, no recoil at all. I get it back I'll do a AK-74 Range Review part 2.[:p]

    O.k. , really sorry to hear bout your bad 'luck' , I have sold several of these , only coplaint so far is that mags are a little woobely in guns ??? , I also own one , have shot almost 500 rnds thru it , all with NO PROBLEMS ....

    I have one in 7.62x39 as well[:p] with over 2000rds through it no problems. That was a selling point for the Romy 5.45.
