Any Golfers here ?
Might interest you to know that my club's range is located adjacent to Whistling Straights golf course, the site of the recent senior PGA and future site of several majors. We shut down during the tournements, renting our site to TV crews. You can literally hit the golfers on a green with a rock from the 200 yard pits. I always wondered how people would pay over $200.00 a round and have to put up with rifle fire in the background. Of course with the wind, berms, and flying rats they may not hear them at all.....

I always thought that a golf course was an awful waste of a shooting range [V] Golf is fun tho, I play maybe 2 times a year. 0 -
I think and see an awesome motocross track at every golf course.
We had a golf course close here when I was a teenager and we had a great time for a summer with the MX bikes.0 -
true, I always saw a great place to ride atv's. and shoot guns [:D] 0 -
I was on my high school golf team. I used to play almost 300 days a year.
Now that I am much, much older, I play golf once or twice a year. I can find better things to aggravate me. [:D]0 -
come on guys yes it is good hunting land, shooting ranges....
but golf is a great game once you learn how to enjoy the relaxation of it rather than the frustration.
for me it fills the void of hunting season for me. we are actually putting a sporting clays and golf tournament together for this early fall0 -
Love to golf, but it's expensive. Noise really doesn't bother me.
I got to the point a few years ago (age 17-18-19) that I could average in the low 80's, but still never broke into the 70's. I was very consistent, averaging 309 off the tee.0 -
I usually only play with my parents. It's pretty fun though. Nice leisure sport. 0 -
Nah. I can't drink that much beer. 0 -

It's the only place I can drive drunk! 0 -
I'm more of a "hacker" than a "golfer." Grew up in all kinds of competitive sports, didn't start golfing until I was 40+, and I'm afraid I'm still in the frustration phase. Just need to realize I'll never get any better without investing some serious time. (just like most things, I guess) 0 -
I would not call myself a golfer by any means. but i do go out and drive drunk and swear at a little white ball everynow and then. BTW golf course would make great ATV/dirt bike courses, We ride the heck out of them on snowmobiles. The green make great kickers and you can really get some air. 0 -
I play every chance that I get and one of the key points for buying my current home is it's close location to the Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach. My oldest daughter also enjoys golf and when she was in high school the two of us would often do 9-holes on a summer evening after I returned home from the office. I really miss that. 0 -
I play golf too much and would not mind hearing the sound of the range. The local range is visible (lights anyway) from my house and the sound does not bother me.
Where I used to live, F-16's would fly over regularly - music to my ears. I guess if it's a sound originating from something you enjoy, I suspect you would not have a problem.0 -
My golf club has a hunt club, trap house, fishing pond and aircraft landing strip. Only 1/2 mile from my house. I have the best of all the worlds. Bshooter. 0
