Where is this one headed?[B)]

at this point who cares ? america is on a political footing to leave iraq. most of america thinks we shouldnt have invaded and therefore if iran is killing america troops its because we invaded iraq. their solution....leave iraq. america has no stomach for further escelation and possible war with iran. iran is going to come away a HUGE winner here. they have been killing american troops for 30 years with IMPUNITY and now they are going to gain a STRONG political foothold in iraq due to americas blood, sweat, death and money. american politicians STILL dont get it. 0 -
The big problem is, Iran probably IS providing EFP's to the insurgents. However, the US completely blew it's credibility by claiming that Iraq/Saddam still had WMD's.
Anyone else remember the story about the kid who cried wolf?0 -
Duh! And it took the CIA only three yrs to find out what any bookie would have given a million to one odds on from day one...
Must still be a lot of left over snort from that Contra Affair thingy......or something!!!0 -
I heard American GI's in 2003 say that they were seeng Iranian made weapons in Iraq. I guess it took the CIA and Bush admin awhile longer (and thousands dead american troops) to realize it. Either we leave right now or we bomb Iran and make them pay for killing American troops.....again. We seriously owe Iran some payback for killing American troops 30 years ago 0 -
In the Vietnam War the Soviets supplied North Vietnam with anti aircraft missle batteries. Many U.S. pilots were killed by these missles.
For some reason, we didn't bomb Russia.0 -

Or, one could say, thus we're here to have this discussion, as opposed to being smoldering piles of radioactive ash.0 -
Today's news tells us that Congress is skeptical of the claims (by the US Military) that Iran is providing arms for the insurgents.
Hmmmm, now I wonder just who might be in a better position to ascertain the source of the insurgents' arms, Congress in D.C. or the military on the ground in Iraq?0 -

Hmmm, since we never bombed the USSR during the Vietnam era, they really didn't HAVE to show restraint, did they?
Therefore, using your logic, we SHOULDN'T attack Iran. Which, IMHO, is a good idea. We've got enough on our hands getting Iraq and Afghanistan straightened out without borrowing more problems.0 -
Iran has been killing Americans for 30 years. They are the one who need straightening out...and some American liberals 0 -

Given the fact that Iraq and Iran had a long (10 years) war, it is possible that Irananian weapons would be in Iraq.
I'm still trying to understand why those mortars shown at that military dog and pony show in Baghdad had markings in English, particularly since the run of the mill Irananian/Iraqi soldier doesn't speak or read English.0 -
what if they are Chinese copy's of Iranian weapons...? 0 -
They're Iranian and they are not from the Iran-Iraq War....
That's all I have to say about that....0 -
