I think the competition stuff, like monster truck building, body building, auto racing, etc. is too tough to compete in nowadays- the guys that win go through grueling training to get there, and only the freakish win. it can't be FUN to do it anymore. sports can't be too far behind. so, "greed in baseball" wouldn't surprise me. 0 -

I think baseball is turning into a non-game. More time is spent doing whatever than actually playing the game. I went to a minor league game once and I was far from impressed. I got so freeking bored that I almost fell asleep in the stands, and it was the middle of the day. I NEVER sleep in the middle of the day. 0 -

YEP! 100 percent Greed,, I knew that when the Baseball industry changed its policy and started chargeing Little League teams across the nation a Fee if they used a Major league teams name.. Then they stopped giving free autographs on balls at the games, Now the kids have to go to a Mall somewhere and pay 50 bucks for some no name player to sign a ball for them.. SAD SAD SAD what the sport has become.. 0 -
baseball isnt suppose to be exciting....its a PASS time sport.
regardless if its entertainment, business, sport, or not, the men that play the game do a fantastic job displaying superior athletics for us to watch. and when you get a team of superior men playing in unison, its pretty remarkable.
what ruins it is if they are all high on drugs in order to perform it. its deceptive. i for one want to see REAL energy from REAL MEN who can play a REAL game and be supermen naturally. that goes for any sport, i guess.[;)]
expensive entertainment? yes. worth it for us to see? questionable.
i for one hate to see old stadiums torn down. a bit of nostalgia and tradition is lost. keeping pastime in mind, id enjoy baseball more if it was a place you hung out on sunday nights eating cheap dogs and c-candy with your arms hanging over the outfield fence listening to organ music from the grandstand, free to come and go as you pleased.
maybe this is why i like shooting. when the best shooters are done, you get to talk to them in the parking lot. if only we could talk with players while standing in the consession line.0
