yea theyre old news, shorten the key, deepen the cuts. 0 -
I don't want to make one I want to keep them from working. 0 -
deadbolts, i would say. 0 -
I don't think those work as easy as they claim. Switching to six pin locks might help, most cheap locks are five pin. A good alarm system would be a big plus!
Bump proof locks are very expensive.0 -
sig, can they bump a deadbolt? 0 -
yes they can bump must home locks, except for $150+ types,I am cheap and would like to figure something out for low $ 0 -
i saw this thing, you install the holder on your floor, and you install a holder on your door and a bar sits between the two holders keeping the door securely locked. 0 -
will it work when I'm not home? 0 -
damn man, you just keep punchig holes in my ideas![;)] Im gonna google it and post some good results. 0 -
ok I figured it out, I'll put 6 dead bolts on my door, some lock to the left some to the right,I'll only lock 3 of them so the scumbag will unlock one and lock the next then lock another ,unlock the next etc... 0 -
ok from what i read on google, there is a lock called the side bar lock, supposed to be very hard to bump, but it alos said, lock bumping is being very over blown, if a thief wants in your house hes gonna get in. I say you get a G lock, 17 layers of protection there. 0 -
yea I've got the glock with 30 layers, but it only works when I'm home 0 -
nice, im looking forward to my next handgun purchase. Im really torn though, RIA .45, Glock 9mm just because of the 30 and the 33 rounders, or do i get a revolver!?!?! IDK. 0 -

I know what GRD would recommend.0 -
Never lock the place, we leave the keys in the cars, and are heavily insured.
If we aren't home and they want it - it's their's.
If I'm home... different story.

Not good to put that data on a national forum Doug!! Lock your doors and kick the pitbull to piss him off![;)]0 -
I understand that Schlage Locks is coming out with a bump proof lockset soon. The schlage 6 pin locks are more difficult to bump open and are available now.
Medco locks cannot be bumped plus its damn hard to get keys made!
The lockset on a deadbolt is exactly the same as the doorknob locksets (outdoor).
Lowes will rekey all the locks you buy from them to the key of your choice, for free!!! They simply change out all the pins.0 -
I think the "bump" is overblown hype, if they want in they will crowbar & sledgehammer in, or just throw a brick through your doorwall[V] there was a lot of hype about "pick guns" years ago, but they were not that easy to use.[:D]
