Police: Infant Drowns While Mom Was Buying Pot
Seffner, Florida - Hillsborough County deputies say a Seffner mother was buying marijuana while her nine-month-old son was drowning in the bathtub.
Katrina Lynn Brooks is charged with aggravated manslaughter in the August 3rd death of her son, Gene.
Originally, detectives say Brooks told them her baby was only left alone for a few minutes while she answered the door to talk to a neighbor.
Detectives now say that visitor was selling Brooks pot and the transaction took nearly a half-hour.

Rest assured, this will be plea bargained down to a slap on the wrist and nothing more. Maybe probation. A babys life doesn't mean much in some parts of the country. I hate to say this, but it's true. IMHO. [:(!][:(!]

The point is it doesn't matter what activity she was engaged in, all that matters is she left her baby alone in the tub and it died.
A woman down the street may have bought some weed, started baking brownies, and washed the baby, ate her browniesafter they are done in the oven- no harm done to anyone.
While another woman may have put the baby in the bath, bought some girl scout cookies, taken a taste, and decided to sit on the couch and eat the whole box while watching Oprah- as the baby dies in the tub.
That she was buying MJ makes her sound worse, but its really quite irrelevant.0 -
