Sorry, no help here; just a comment.
Boy, would that ever pee me off! I'd be all over Sentry like a spider monkey and demand satisfaction. Also, your post backs up my sense that when I do get a safe, I want one that is 100% mechanical.
Good luck!0 -
I would contact sentry and let them fix it. 0 -
my guess is that the bolts may have some rust on them and whatever pulls them back cant do it. 0 -
do it again and wiggle it at the same time. 0 -
change the battery 0 -
you should be able to take the electronic lock off and use the key it came with. look at the documents that came with it or look it up online. 0 -
Did the safe get jarred or shaken? Maybe the relocker fired. If the relocker fired, its time to get the drill bits out! 0 -
Do you have access to several sticks of dynamite? 0 -

that should have no bearing on the mater the locking paul is the main factor most electronic locks have a mechanical backup check it out.

Thanks, man. I REALLY needed a laugh right now and you really came through with that one![:D][:D]0 -
call up the mfr and ask them what to do, I'm sure if it uses batteries etc. and they run out they know how to get a customer's safe open.
also, when you look in the phone book under locksmiths, safes, etc. some of those guys do in fact hire safe crackers just for that purpose. (article in the paper about one once) being an electronic safe, there's no guarantee that it can be cracked.
if it can't be cracked, at least the safe dudes can tell you how and where to drill.0 -

Don't know if this is your problem or not, but it frequently happens on mine. Can't hurt to try it.

I'm a safe cracker, I ALWAY'S use a condom. 0 -
Did you get the safe open yet? I am curious to hear what caused the problem. 0 -
I know it won't help in this situation, but when you buy a safe its a great idea to keep all the paperwork in your file cabinet. You will need the receipt or some other proof of purchase when you make the call to the MFG to make it easier to get the info to open the safe. The mfg does not want to be a party to a robbery!
That said, I have been told that it is not difficult for an expert to open a safe. So I guess they assume the risk of making the decision whether its appropriate or not and have the info at hand for different mfgs methods to enter a safe.0 -
Well.......what happened???????????????? 0 -
Well my grandfather once broke the key off inside the safe.
So he called the police and they sent us an excellenct safe cracker cop.0 -
