i agree with coulter. however, corrupt doctors are a problem as well. they are on collusion with lawyers to scam insurance companies on workmans comp claims and auto accidents.

Let me see. A guy gets 10 million dollars a year for hitting a ball or running with a ball or throwing a ball.......but somebody who saves lifes, (It could be yours)works long hours, etc. is making too much money with 200,000 a year?

Good. Maybe that anorexic slag will shut her trap for good then.

Although given her habit of saying one thing and doing another (like most good conservatives), I'm willing to bet she'll corrupt the world with her thoughts yet again...

Ever notice that, in response to items such as this one, the messenger, not the message, is what draws most of the attacks? The right says, "Right on! She's absolutely correct and perfect in every respect!" And the left says, "Total BS! She's wrong and deserves to be imprisoned if not stoned!" With lightning rods such as Ann Coulter, Hillary Clinton and their kind, it doesn't matter what they actually say. The decision to praise or damn is made the moment the name is mentioned. Personalities trump positions every time.[:(][:(][:(]

+10 My wife's OBGYN had to reduce her practice to just herself and has her husband doing all the paperwork because her malpractice insurance doubled to $140k/year. She has never been in a lawsuit either!

Interesting point Ross. The way I see it, however, the post isn't about the position or idea per se, it is about the personality. Coultier and her ilk are all about personality. She's known for being "outrageous", and without that, what is she? She's not right, that's for sure.

I'll put it to you like this: The first line in her piece is that "doctors are paid too little". Anyone ever hear that before? Anyone ever hear that in connection with the idea that there is a "crisis" in health care? Of Course not. It's all shock value.

Becuase it isn't about the content or idea, but rather, the personality as defined by shock masquerading as thought, she deserves all the crap she gets.

hmmm.. I think if you read anything about Dr's in this country you will see that they are predicting a DIRE shortage of Dr's after the baby-boomers retire. Why? 10 years of schooling to make less than $200k/year. You think $200k is a lot? It is not. That is smack dab in the middle of the middle class.

There have been predicitons of shortages of doctors for years. Chicken Little has squawked too much. And if you think that $200k a year puts you in the middle class, what do you think somone who makes $80k a year is?
