Who remembers the Marathon candy bars????
I remember the Marathon candy bars from when I was a kid (I'm 37 now). They were about a foot long and nothing but CHEWY caramel looped/crossed and covered in chocolate. Man, I wish they still made these!!!!

I miss the old Mars bar too! 0 -
After I posted the original post, I searched the Marathon candy bar. Turns out, Cadbury makes something real similar to the Marathon bar. It's called a "Curly Wurly". They're not sold in the US, though. They're sold in UK and Canada. 0 -

From the link I give above:
"The Marathon Bar was a full eight inches of braided caramel covered in milk chocolate. Mars introduced it in 1973 and thanks to its bright-red package and extra long size, it stood out among the competition. Inch markings printed on the wrapper showed just how long it actually was.
The length was the result of its braided shape but it didn't actually weigh more than standard candy bars of the time. When sales didn't meet expectations in 1981, Mars discontinued it."0 -

I use to love the Powerhouse candy bar. There was a neighbor of ours that would give my brother and I 5 or 6 full size candy bars for Halloween. We would do odds and ends for her throughout the year.
I'm probably dating myself, i'm 48!0 -
Bun Maple and Vanilla clusters are still available around here, so let me know if you want some and I'll be glad to get them for you.
I think that I have seen Mars bars, but I'm not real sure on that, and some of those items are a once a year issue.
I have a couple of five packs of Beeman's Pepsin gum in the kitchen now, and Black Jack is still around, but I never cared for it.
$100,000 bars are available also.0 -
Bonomo's Turkish Taffy ??
Does anyone remember the brief appearance of Dark Chocolate Mars Bars ??
