New idea for a giveaway....
Come on people, what's $10?
What would you all think about doing a once-a-year giveaway.
EVERYONE who enter's pays $10. The winner get's it all? Is that considered a raffle?
If so, I say we all send Doug $10 each. Maybe that will brighten his spirits and allow him to buy himself something he's had an eye on for Christmas?
Opinions? Against the policies?

I figured 10 people times 10 dollars, obviously is $100. That's a nice bottle of scotch, part of a case of ammo, or whatever else he would like to spend it on.

I really appreciate the sentiment, but the nicest thing y'all could do for me would be to give whatever you would send to me, to the Salvation Army. They would use it to help people that are far more needy than I.

We adopt kids through the Salvation Army for Christmas, and buy gifts for a few of the less fortunate kids at Tori's School.
If you wish to give the money to someone, that is your choice.0 -

I did not start this because I thought you needed the money. I'm sure $10 doesn't hurt any of us to send out. I thought the couple hundred dollars (hopefully more people will join in) would be a nice little gift especially with things that are going on now. Buy yourself a nice new toy or something you have been wanting. Hell, take a few days off at a nice hotel or whatever. I'll try to keep this up for the "Day" people to see as well. Hell, we get 30-40 people to join in. That could be a big chunk out of a NICE toy!
A buddy of mine does this thing with his family, they each put $600/month into this pool. Each member of the family gets a month. And they get all the money put in there that month. I thought we could do something like this every year or every few months. $10/person and we'll randomly pick a person who has been participating and all send them the money. Give them the opportunity to buy a new scope/rifle/pistol/ammo/reloading equipment/ or just do whatever they please with it.0 -

I like you and have been thinking of starting this before, but never thought of someone who deserved it.
You mentioned the things going on at home and I thought it'd be a good time to get the ball rolling.
Take the money and just enjoy the it, however much there may be, is all I ask. Spend it however you like!
I had the great opportunity to be on the recieving end of an extremely generous offer from another member of this forum. A NIB Marlin 1894 in 44mag. It was one of the nicest, sincerest things anyone has ever done for me and it is something I WILL NEVER FORGET. I'd like to extend my hand to someone else. If I had the money, I'd offer to send a gun, but I do not.0 -
