Hey Locust Fork...NEED HELP...
Put this back up to the top get a response from locust, did he refinish stock? is that the crack in his pic #5?
Did I just buy the same Win 42 you sold a while back with the cracked and repaired toe??? Looks like he refinished stock and left out the crack in his description. Although I think I see it in pic #5.

If it has a box, it isn't the same one! 0 -
she's got the s/n, she can find out! 0 -
looks like it is, her buyer is your seller. identical wood! 0 -
but he does offer a 3 day inspection. 0 -
If it is,.........you have been taken!
Says "Original",......but look at the spelling![}:)]

Before you send money why don't you just get the serial number from him?0 -
I have requested serial No. and I dont have a problem with someone making a profit. What I do have a problem with is knowing that the stock is cracked and repaired and purposly keeping the camera far away so not to show the marred screw heads or surface bluing. Kasey sold it with an accurate description and close ups of the flaws, this guy didnt. 0 -
If'n you hadn't been on suspension, maybe you could have got it from LF.[:D]
Seriously though, I'm sure that when he does get you the SN# and if it is the same gun, which it seems to be, with the buyer being the same and all, it appears that he misrepresented the auction and you will have a leg to stand on.0 -

Touche' Shaway. I know that he misrepresented, but now I need to decide if I want to leave him negative feedback for doing it.0 -
absolutely, leave negative feedback. we need to weed out the deadbeats and feedback is the only way. 0 -

If it is proven that they are one and the same gun, if it were me, I would definately leave neg. feedback and not except the shot gun. The one in LF pics. was a beautiful "Original" 42. The one that you "won" would have been refinised. If the seller was just wanting to upgrade his collection, then no harm no foul.
But, a refinished 42 if stated so in the description, would not in my opinion, brought what you won it for. Good luck on this one.0 -
He lists the SN as 1310XX and is the buyer from LF's auction. I have a hard time believing it is not the same gun. I don't think he refinished the stock. I just think that LF took her pics in a dark place and he took his outside. However, he didn't mention the crack in the stock at the toe, which you can see in his last pic.
As for negative feedback, it's your call.0 -
I think LF is off line moving into her new house.
