I didn't care for the man or his politics, but I mourn his passing. 0 -
I live in Lynchburg and the local opinion of him is as mentioned--- either loved him or hated him. To me, his ego sometimes grated on the locals, but he was a person who always greeted everyone and seemed always sincere. There is no doubt that the area would not be what it is today without his financial influence, and will probably suffer with his passing. Rest in peace 0
