After procrastinating for 4-5 years and griping about spent high dollar ammo while sighting in rifles......
I caved and assembled my hydralic trigger machine rest for sighting in the pill pushers.
Had to make a wood rest as the gun club would not like me drilling holes in their bench rests.
I just c-clamp the thing and go.
This way I can remove the human factor and save ammo.

I saw an interesting rifle today. It was a Mauser 98/40 This is a hybrid kind of thing a Hungarian Mannlicher style rifle reworked for German use in WWII. It was stolen and recovered by the police but the bolt was missing when it came back. This is the first of these I've seen. Man came to me to help him find a replacement bolt. So I'm checking around to find one but thought I'd ask if any of you ever heard of this beast. 0 -
Yes, I have one. The 98/40 designation is strictly a German nomenclature. If I remember right, it's a Hungarian M 35 just renamed. Interesting little rifles combining both Mannlicher and Mauser characteristics.
Nowadays, they are fairly rare. I would try all the usual suspects for a bolt (Sarco, Numerich, Springfield Sporters, etc.).0
