Ruger Old Army cartridge conversion
Has anyone had experience with either the Kirst or Taylor Revolver cartridge conversions for the Ruger Old Army revolvers? Do they work well? If you have had experience with both is one brand better than the other? Thanks.

No experience with either, but I think you'll be satisfied. The Remington works great for conversions, and one will likiely be as good as another. I suggest you get at least two cylinders. That will speed up reloads by a BIG jump. 0 -
Hi,
I have the 7 1/2 Ruger SS OA:
I bougt the R&D conversion kit and it works just fine with the cowbow loads.
I even reload and cast the bullets.
GREAT buy !!

Thanks, I am getting the same thing. I am leaning twoards the Kirst at this point mostly because of price as well as hearing good things about them. You wouldn't happen to shoot Hodgdon Triple 7 would you? 0 -
