Trigger Bolt Spring...
I got a 1861 Colt New Army BP revolver, have been searching for a trigger bolt spring for a while but couldn't find one anywhere... so I finally said screw it, tore apart a couple pens, got the springs, and Rigged it to work... WORKS fricken perfect, Bolt locks the cylinder flawlessly, gotta love good old ingenuity, lol, also gave it a extremely good cleaning, hopefuly will improve the accuracy of the thing, will report later... though I dunno what to report on, but hey, I'm bored.

I seem to remember Cabelas has repair kits for the 1861's. Maybe it was MidwayUSA. I would check for you but I am at work and both sites are categorized as "weapons". Oh the horror! [:0][:(!] So they are blocked.[V] 0 -
Maybe give these folks a look! [;)]

figured I might as well report, it worked perfectly, for a time anyway, eventually it became to much for the spring to handle, and it weakened, took it apart to clean to find what used to be a small spring, lol... Oh well, was fun while It lasted 0 -
You get 5 gold stars for ingenuity! You are a blackpowder gunsmith for sure. I did have a feeling that it wouldn't last too long.
Get in touch with VTI, they have every part for every gun, very good people to deal with.0 -
