S&W Revolver

I recently acquired a S&W model 1 1/2 manufactured about 1867. I have also managed to find a couple of boxes of Navy Arms 32 rimfire ammunition for it. My question is, assuming that this revolver passes a detailed inspection and dye penetrant test, would you consider it safe to fire with that ammunition?
