A step in the right direction for shooters in Aust
Our opposition leader (leader of the party or party coalition with the second-biggest number of seats in the lower house of Parliament), Kevin Rudd, has recently stated he'd be releasing his party's official policy regarding firearms.

Favourite quote:
It is my overwhelming experience that members of the SSAA and sports shooters abide within the legal framework that has already been laid out
Getting our current Prime Minister, John Howard, to admit that would be virtually impossible. This, coupled with the fact that Mr Rudd is a sports shooter himself, makes me think this policy might be a bit better than our current firearm policy. Thoughts?

Anything "less restrictive" than what you have now, would be a good thing. 0 -

The Eureka Stockade in 1854 was our little civil war... It was a miner's rebellion against the Victorian colonial authority (Australia was still a bunch of British colonies at this time). The rebellion was quickly and violently put down and those arrested were put on trial; however, the rebellion was the beginning of democracy in Australia.

Nah. I like having my paper (technically plastic) money in Technicolour too much to move away from Australia. Makes it easy to pick out different notes in your wallet.0
