For any Vet who has been treated at the VA

In the light of this new bill that looks like it will be law I would highly recommend to get full copies of your records from the VA now!

Every Vet who has received treatment from the VA does have a psychiatric file even if you have not recieved psychiatric care! And this file may come to bite you in the ass in the near future!

You will need to request your records from each and every VA facility that you have ever been seen at in order to make sure that you are getting copies of all of them!

You just might be surprised to see what the VA has in your psychiatric file, exspecially if you are a combat veteran!

    GRD, i tried to tell you a few weeks ago about records the va keeps,and how it would affect your gun rights. you said then NO WHERE does your records state anything that will hurt you. it seems now you have found out the truth as to how this law will affect you,me and thousands of others. please keep up the good work.
    this is not meant to be an attack or insult to you, i only stated the truth about the bill, as i saw it.

    I am 100% PTSD disabled. I have a conceled permit and a C&R licence. Applied for my FFL and it is in the mail. No problems here....

    the new law doesn't become active until 10 days after it was passed by the senate. i guess we will see how this bill will effect the veterans who suffer from PTSD. i hope nothing changes like the nra says. i am not happy they backed this bill without even asking members how they felt about it. and like our elected officials, i don't trust them. just remember we the veterans will be the first this law bites in the butt if it is indeed designed to disarm. only time will tell.
