.30 cal. mg firing m60 ammo
It's been a long time since I was on the rivers over there, but I still remember a few incidents that stuck with me over the years. One of which was that the first time my well-deck gunners went to use the port & starboard .30 mgs, we found out that the training we received in NIOTC, Mare Island never mentioned the fact that m60 ammo belts were to be fed in the weapon upside-down. Thank God my Honeywell was working fine at the time, and we got out of that mess!
