Surprise anchor
Just came back from St George Island, Fl. It was 72 and sunny there. It's 34 with 4" of snow/ice on the ground here in northern VA. (I'm sure we had a reason to come back.)
Anyway down there, the commercial watermen tong for oysters. They need an anchor that will allow their small boats to drift along as they tong. For this they use an auto engine crankshaft for an anchor. Is this more widespread than just the Florida panhandle?
