Crappie fishing

What can anyone tell me about Crappie fishing in Oregon, other than on the Snake River.
Crappie fishing on the Snake is great, but it's a two day drive for us older people with a RV.

  I have never fished in that area of the United States, but crappie and bluegill seem to show up in most lakes and farm ponds since it is usually a stock fish along with bass, and once they are in place, they seem to hold their own against bass. I'd try getting hold of the state fish and game website to see where they were stocked.
