PRAYERS NEEDED

This morning I went in to work and was laid off. I am a married father of 4. This is the most devestating news I could get. Please pray for the future of me and my family. It seems hopeless today.

    Tell your friend to take his wife to get another opinion! About this time two years ago, my wife was at the dr. for another matter. They talked her into having a mamogram (she hadn't had one for years). They found a cancer and our world turned upside down. We have a quadraplegic daughter that lives with us, so giving up was not an option. 4 chemotherapy treatments, 31 radiation treatments and surgery followed. She is now cancer free.
    Possibly what her doctor meant by mastecomy would not get all of the cancer is that it spreads into the lymph nodes and they used to remove lymph nodes until they found one that didn't have cancer cells. Removing lymph nodes is very debilitating because it causes the extremities to not be able to drain fluid properly. This causes all kinds of problems.
    Now days there are tests that can be run to determine how far into the lymph nodes it has spread, limiting unneccisary surgery.
    Prayer worked for us, but a strong will to win over cancer is equally powerful.
    Breast cancer is very beatable! The only lasting effect that cancer had on my wife is that she is now tougher than ever!
