Who else has this problem?

I have quite a few rifles without open sights that have never been fired.

Why? It is because I want to put a high-quality scope on each gun, so I start saving for a good scope. But before I get enough money saved, I found out about another firearm that MUST be purchased.

My main problem is that I am trying to put together a complete collection of the Ruger's P-Series of the stainless models. Many are out of production and quite a few are rare, so when one of these models appears, I have to buy it or face never getting that one.

Anyone else have similar "problems"?

    You are better off with a cheap scope than no scope.

    Just a suggestion - why don't you buy one good scope and have it mounted to each of your rifles without moving the rings. Then, make a note book (dope book) for each rifle with the zero for that rifle. You should be able to swap rifles and re-zero within a few shots.

    I think you should contact Blackland Outdoor Sports, who sells here as pistolpac. BOS usually has a nice selection of used scopes at reasonable prices.

    Heck, I have an even better idea. Why don't you send them to me. I have some good glass laying around that I don't have a gun for yet. I could mount it and shoot those babies for you!

    Nope - that's not a problem.

    I'm still not old enough for a scope - I'm
    only 62, although we do have a few ... for
    the wimmin folk, of course.

    I Own a few Rugers Ranger Doug, they shoot pretty fair
