Throwing Hachet ?
I know this is gun broker not hachet broker but a hachet can be just as deadly.Now for the question,anybody out there that throws hachets and axes?If so I need some advice on where to buy a couple of good hachets.The internet is loaded with cheap fantasy junk.Thanks guys I know you will help.

Try De La Ronde Forge, he's in New Mexico. He hand forges some of the finest throwing hawks ever made and will stand behind them. I sold them years ago myself. They are spendy, but worth the extra money. I believe he still has a website. 0 -

I saw a show on the History Channel about the barbarian tribe the Franks, who settled modern day France. Their main weapon was the battle axe called the francisca. They would hold the handle and smash the enemy with the axe, but they would also throw it! They had a technique for bouncing the thing off the ground once or twice en route to the enemy's head. They said that this was one of the fiercest weapons of the 7 th century. Lo and behold here is one that was for sale on gunbroker:

I've got a couple of "Cold Steels Bad Axe". It sticks almost every throw. They can be had for around $25-30.
A very good throwing axe.

When I was young and really dumb, I could throw a hatchet with the best of them. And I think it was a shingle hatchet. I was so good, that I could launch myself on the tree swing
[ a 30 foot cable from a branch high up in a maple tree] go out, turn around and throw the hatchet at the tree on the way back!! It was really cool until the hatchet glanced off the side of the tree and went whizzing past my face on my way by. Guess I wasn't as good as I thought. Needless to say, it was a real eye opener and I never did that again. Fortunately, I lived to tell about it.0 -

I like the Vietnam "Toms" and there was a entrenching tool that was a thrower (German I think). They were cheap and it was fun throwing a spade in to stumps[:D]. I don't know what happened to those but they were sure fun. You know you're cool when you can stick a shovel in to a stump[;)]. 0 -

Who wants a cheap fantasy throwing hatchet, when you could get a REAL hatchet, the way the ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL hatchet throwers use.
Yeah, I hunted a moose with my hatchet last week.
Carry one in my back pocket "just in case".
